Marshall
We are going to fast forward a little here. There were dates
after this but nothing of any significance, including trying to rekindle things
with Sam...huge mistake...… Until Marshall.
Marshall:
Marshall and I had been friends for a while. He was college
buddies with some of my friends and we became fast friends. He was handsome and
hilarious. My two main wants in a boyfriend. We went out for drinks one night
and had a few too many and wound up making out. That turned into a relationship
the very next day. It moved fast. Too fast. Engaged 10 months in, fast.
Truthfully, at that point I wanted out but I knew he had a "surprise"
party planned at the bar next door to the restaurant where he proposed.
Obviously I knew about the party so I said yes. That wasn't the only reason but
it definitely had something to do with it. We had fun together. But it was
always drunken fun. If we weren't drinking then he spent all of his time
on the couch. It was killing me. I started pulling away and he started
getting mad, and jealous. It didn't end well. To say I was in a downward spiral
after it ended is an understatement. We are fine now but there was a long time
that we weren't'. I am truly sorry for any hurt that I caused him. But honestly
he wouldn't be the man he is today if we hadn't broken up. And that man is
happy, successful, married (to a different former friend) (that story will come
later), they have 2 beautiful children and I truly wish them all the happiness
in the world.
